Terms of
Service.
Effective Date: August 7, 2026 · Last Updated: August 7, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the website located at ttrpgh.com and all related features, tools, and content (collectively, the “Service”), operated by The Real McKoy Creative, LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) under the name Iron City Guild (the “Guild” or “TTRPGH”). The Service connects tabletop role-playing game (“TTRPG”) players and game masters (“GMs”) in the greater Pittsburgh area through event listings, community profiles, and related tools.
By creating an account, submitting an event, or otherwise using the Service, you (“User” or “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
1.1 Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.
1.2 Individual Events
Certain events listed on the Service may carry their own age restrictions (for example, events held at 18+ or 21+ venues) set by the hosting GM or venue, not by Company. You are solely responsible for confirming that you meet any such requirement before attending.
1.3 Account Accuracy
You agree to provide accurate, current information when creating an account and submitting event listings, and to keep that information up to date. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
1.4 One Account
Accounts are personal to you and may not be sold, transferred, or shared. Company may suspend or terminate duplicate or impersonating accounts.
2. The Service
2.1 What We Provide
The Service is a community hub and event-discovery board (the “Quest Board”) through which Users can browse, list, and coordinate attendance at TTRPG events; create a community profile; and, for prospective GMs, apply to run games through Company's GM Application process.
2.2 Company Is Not the Event Organizer
Unless a listing expressly states that Company is the direct host, all events listed on the Service are organized, run, and hosted by independent GMs, players, or third-party venues — not by Company. Company provides a platform for discovering and coordinating these events; it does not supervise, control, or guarantee any event.
2.3 No Guarantee of Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
3. User Content and Event Submissions
3.1 Your Content
“User Content” means any information you submit to the Service, including profile details (username, bio, location, favorite systems), event listings, and any communications through the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content.
3.2 License to Company
By submitting User Content, you grant Company a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Service.
3.3 Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that it is accurate, that you have the right to submit it, and that it does not violate any law or any third party's rights.
3.4 Review and Removal
Event submissions are reviewed by Company before publication and may be edited, rejected, or removed at Company's sole discretion — including after publication — for any reason or no reason, including concerns about safety, accuracy, or fit with the Guild's community standards.
4. Event Listings and Assumption of Risk
4.1 Real-World Activity
TTRPG sessions listed through the Service typically take place in person, at venues not owned or operated by Company. Attending, hosting, or participating in any such event involves inherent risks, including interpersonal risk, property risk, and risks associated with the venue itself.
4.2 No Vetting Guarantee
While Company maintains a GM Application and review process (Section 5), Company does not conduct background checks on Users, GMs, or venues, and does not guarantee the conduct, competence, or safety practices of any GM, player, or venue.
4.3 Assumption of Risk
BY ATTENDING OR PARTICIPATING IN ANY EVENT LISTED ON THE SERVICE, YOU VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH THAT EVENT, KNOWN OR UNKNOWN, AND RELEASE COMPANY FROM ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR ATTENDANCE OR PARTICIPATION, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
4.4 Disputes Between Users
Company is not a party to, and has no responsibility for, disputes between Users, or between a User and a GM or venue, arising from an event.
5. GM Applications
5.1 Application Process
Individuals seeking to run games through the Guild may apply as a GM. Company evaluates applications using its own rubric, which may consider factors such as experience, safety-tool familiarity, and fit with the Guild's community standards.
5.2 No Employment Relationship
Approved GMs are independent members of the community, not employees, agents, or contractors of Company. Nothing in these Terms or in the GM Application process creates an employment, agency, joint venture, or partnership relationship between a GM and Company.
5.3 Revocation
Company may revoke GM status and remove any or all of a GM's listings at any time, for any reason, including a violation of these Terms or the Code of Conduct in Section 6.
6. Code of Conduct
6.1 Our Standard
The Guild exists to be a safe, welcoming space for TTRPG players of all backgrounds and experience levels, including players who have historically been marginalized in gaming spaces. Users are expected to treat one another — on the Service and at any listed event — with respect.
6.2 Prohibited Conduct
Without limiting Section 10, Users may not, on the Service or at any Guild-affiliated event:
- harass, threaten, or discriminate against any person on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age;
- engage in unwanted sexual contact or comments;
- disregard a GM's or venue's stated safety tools (such as lines and veils, X-cards, or similar); or
- otherwise engage in conduct that Company determines, in its discretion, to be inconsistent with the Guild's community standards.
6.3 Enforcement
Company may warn, suspend, or permanently remove any User from the Service, and may bar a User from future Guild-affiliated events, for violating this Code of Conduct. Company's decision on Code of Conduct matters is final.
6.4 Reporting
Concerns about a User's, GM's, or venue's conduct may be reported to ttrpgh[at]gmail.com. Company will make reasonable efforts to review reports but does not guarantee any particular outcome, investigation process, or timeline.
7. Paid Boost Feature and Payments
7.1 The Boost Feature
Company offers an optional paid feature (“Boost”) that a User may purchase when submitting an event listing. As described on the submission page at the time of purchase, a Boost is intended to (a) prioritize the listing for review, (b) pin the listing near the top of the Quest Board until the event's start time, and (c) visually highlight the listing. The current Boost fee is displayed at checkout.
7.2 Payment Processing
All payments are processed by PayPal, an independent third party. Company does not store your payment card or PayPal account credentials. Your use of PayPal is subject to PayPal's own terms and privacy policy.
7.3 Boost Is Not a Guarantee of Approval
Purchasing a Boost expedites review; it does not guarantee that Company will approve, publish, or maintain your event listing. Company retains full discretion under Section 3.4 to reject or remove any listing, boosted or not.
7.4 Refunds
If Company rejects a boosted event submission, the Boost fee will be refunded. If Company approves and publishes a boosted event submission, the Boost fee is non-refundable — including if review or publication takes longer than the timeframe stated at checkout, or if the event is later cancelled by the submitting GM. Refund requests may be sent to ttrpgh[at]gmail.com and are otherwise handled at Company's discretion.
7.5 Processing Errors
If a payment is charged but the corresponding submission is not saved due to a technical error, contact ttrpgh[at]gmail.com with your PayPal transaction reference. Company will investigate and resolve the discrepancy, including issuing a refund where appropriate.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Company IP
The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and the “Iron City Guild” and “TTRPGH” names and marks, is owned by Company or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for your own User Content, nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Company's trademarks, branding, or other intellectual property.
8.2 Limited License to Use the Service
Subject to these Terms, Company grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service uses or links to third-party services, including Google Firebase (account authentication and data storage), PayPal (payment processing), EmailJS (email delivery), Cloudflare (bot protection), and social platforms such as Discord and Instagram. Company is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party service, and your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
10. Prohibited Uses
In addition to the Code of Conduct in Section 6, you agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
- submit false, fraudulent, or misleading event listings or profile information;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, data, or system related to the Service;
- use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or submit content to the Service, including the event submission form, outside of normal human use;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation; or
- impersonate any person or entity.
11. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information — including account information, profile details, and information submitted with event listings — is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to that collection and use.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ALL EVENT LISTINGS AND USER CONTENT, IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. COMPANY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY EVENT LISTING, GM, VENUE, OR USER IS ACCURATE, SAFE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOU.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPANY, ITS OWNERS, STAFF, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ATTENDANCE AT ANY LISTED EVENT, EVEN IF COMPANY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. COMPANY'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), OR (B) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO COMPANY IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Company, The Real McKoy Creative, LLC, and their owners, staff, and affiliates from any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your User Content; (c) your attendance at, participation in, or hosting of any event listed on the Service; (d) your violation of these Terms; or (e) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
15. Term; Suspension and Termination
15.1 Term
These Terms apply for as long as you use the Service.
15.2 Termination by You
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through your account settings.
15.3 Termination by Company
Company may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.
15.4 Survival
Sections 3.2, 4, 6.3, 7.4, 8.1, 12, 13, 14, 16, and 17 survive termination of your account or these Terms.
16. Dispute Resolution; Binding Arbitration; Class Action Waiver
16.1 Informal Resolution First
Before filing a claim against Company, you agree to first contact us at ttrpgh[at]gmail.com and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
16.2 Agreement to Arbitrate
If a dispute is not resolved informally, you and Company agree that any claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
16.3 Class Action Waiver
You and Company agree that any arbitration or proceeding will be conducted only on an individual basis and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims.
16.4 Right to Opt Out
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to ttrpgh[at]gmail.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating your name and that you opt out of Section 16. If you opt out, all other provisions of these Terms continue to apply.
16.5 Severability of This Section
If the class action waiver in Section 16.3 is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, then that claim (and only that claim) must be brought in court under Section 17, and the remainder of this Section 16 remains in effect.
17. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to Section 16, any action not subject to arbitration will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
18. General Provisions
18.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Company regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
18.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
18.3 No Waiver
Company's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of its right to do so later.
18.4 Assignment
You may not assign these Terms without Company's written consent. Company may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
18.5 Notices
Company may provide notices to you via the email address on your account or by posting on the Service. You may provide notice to Company at ttrpgh[at]gmail.com.
19. Changes to These Terms
Company may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as an email or a notice on the Service). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
